KGUN9.com out of Tuscon published this report by Liz Kotalik on, “Thousands of tiny, purple-hued spheres piled in the middle of nowhere.”
Could these globular spheres be “slime mold or jelly fungus” from jelly fish, as one botanist suggests? Or, maybe they are “deco beads” others have suggested?
Kotalik writes that the KGUN station had received tons of phone calls about the appearance of these spheres in the desert. The reporter concludes:
“No one is positive what these spheres are, and for now, all we can say for certain is that they’re definitely out of the ordinary. “
