Learn traditional method of pen and ink drawing.  Drawing with pen and ink is a versatile and traditional technique  that every artist should have in his or her repertoire for sketching as well as highly finished works.

9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.


Ready, set, go! This fast paced “marathon” will leave you feeling tired but fully satisfied.  Join us for an all- day painting event led by Mia Bergeron. Students will be asked to bring canvas pads to paint quick 30 minute paintings of a nude figure.  Each student should have approximately 10 paintings at the end of the class.

Silk Painting | Beginning | instructed by Claire Vassort

February 23 & 24
Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Lunch break of one hour, both days.

Come experience the beauty of silk painting firsthand in a two-day workshop. You will learn the basic techniques of silk painting and create practice samples and two wearable scarves.

Saturday, February 23    10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Intermediate/advanced students have the option of signing up for the two day workshop if they want more than one day

For those who have taken the beginner silk painting class at Townsend Atelier or already have experienced the basic techniques of silk painting in the past, this one-day class will further your experience and allow you paint another large silk design or take 2 days if you are just starting out.
