Public Art Chattanooga has just announced this year’s request for proposal of new art projects.  This is from the press release:

Request for Proposals (RFP): Sixth Biennial Sculpture Exhibition, Chattanooga, Tennessee

Public Art Chattanooga is seeking proposals from artists for the Sixth Biennial Sculpture Exhibition in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  Since 2005, this temporary exhibition has placed outdoor sculpture throughout Chattanooga’s urban core. Works can be in any media, must be suitable for outdoors, and may be functional or non-functional, temporary in nature or permanent.  Up to seven sculptures will be selected to be on view for two years from July 2013  to July 2015. Each artist will receive a $5,000 stipend.


Eligibility: This RFQ is open to all professional artists/artist teams and architects over the age of 18 who currently reside in the United States.



Application Deadline: Applications must be received (hand delivery, mail or electronically) by March 8, 2013, 4:00 pm.  No exceptions.  Refer to pages 4 and 5 for application procedures.  The application can be found on page 6.
