Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga brings puppets to stage in ‘Avenue Q’

Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga opens with ‘Avenue Q’, the first show in their new space.   Here’s more from the press release:

Parents, leave your kids at home. This time, the puppet show is just for you. The New York Times described it as “…how Friends might be if it had Fozzie Bear and Miss Piggy arguing about their one-night stand, but with more angst, expletives and full-on puppet sex.”

“I was introduced to Avenue Q in 2005 when a friend brought me the soundtrack as a souvenir from his trip to NYC. It quickly became one of my favorite shows and has been ever since,” says director Maggie Bradshaw. ” It really is the perfect show for adults who are kids at heart, and this cast is full of them! This show is a hysterical, tongue-in-cheek, brutally honest way of looking at what life truly is for a young adult.”
